Wine, The Fighting Skin Cancer

Behind the freshness, the grapes have great health benefits. A study in Spain that regularly eating can prevent cancer even wine premature aging and skin.

The research team from the National Research Council of the University of Barcelona found a substance in wine may protect skin cells from the harmful effects of sunlight. Compounds called flavonoids which acts to prevent the formation of cancer cells.

The study was conducted after analyzing the formation process of cancer cells. Cancer is generally formed by the ultraviolet rays generated from the Sun When hitting the skin, ultraviolet rays would increase the response to harmful molecules that damage the skin.

Dr. Marta Cascante, a biochemist at the University of Barcelona and director of the research, said: "The results are encouraging and should be considered for advanced materials in the development of new findings concerning skin protection products."

Cosmetics and medicines are the compounds of wine available, but the effect on the cells is well understood until now.

"The study supports the idea of ​​using a product made ​​from grapes in order to damage in the skin and appreciable cell death caused by solar radiation," Dr Kara Cascante published their study in Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
